Pastor Kendall Hicks
Having served in full-time ministry as a youth pastor, senior pastor, counselor, and itinerant minister for 17 years, Kendall Hicks felt led to influence lives in a more personal manner and in 2003 began a new career as a Certified Personal Trainer. A fitness enthusiast for all of his adult life, Kendall recognized a growing need in our culture and has committed his life to helping as many people as possible live a healthy life in spirit, mind, and body (1 Thes. 5:23).
Before moving to Anderson, SC in January of 2008 to become an Ultra Fit Trainer, Kendall served as a Personal Trainer for a chain of clubs in the Charleston area. He was blessed to be the most successful trainer in that organization and was promoted to Director of Personal Training. Since coming to Anderson, he has received recognition as "Trainer of the Month" on several occasions. Kendall has been a regular contributor to Oblique Magazine, a Charleston area fitness publication and is a sought after motivational speaker.
In June, 2009, Kendall accepted the call to serve as pastor of The Carpenter's Church in Anderson, SC. Though he originally accepted this position on a part-time basis, the growth of this ministry has led him to dedicate his full-time efforts to building this congregation. Still, Kendall is involved with ULTRA FIT through seminars, radio and public appearances.
